Keshia lives, works, and loves as an uninvited guest on stolen land. They embrace and commit to celebrating, presencing, and uplifting the past, present, and future caretakers of this land, Tkarón:to, where there are trees standing in the water, including the Anishnaabe (specifically the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation), as well as the Haudenosaunee Peoples from the Six Nations Confederacy of the Grand River, the Wendat, and Indigenous, Metis and Inuit peoples across Turtle Island who have, continue to, and will live and love here as long as the sun shines, the grass grows, and the river flows. They support the Land Back movement, reject the Canadian colonial project, and recognize stewardship as a shared responsibility of all those who reside on this territory, in the spirit of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum. They are guided by this teaching as they learn and unlearn the true history of this land that they are grateful to call home.
